Can this tool crack or bypass a PDF password?
No. You must know the correct password. This tool only removes the password from PDFs where you already have access.
What if I get an error after entering the correct password?
Some PDFs use advanced encryption (AES-256) that pdf-lib cannot currently read. In that case, the tool will show an error. This is a known limitation of the underlying library.
Will the unlocked PDF be identical to the original?
Yes. The content, pages, and quality are identical — only the password protection is removed.
